Your spirit gets crushed when you are let down
You've replaced them with your crown
I would give everything to have those moments back
Have you found something different that I lack
Are you just pretending that you are normal
I'm struggling to understand why you behave too formal
My brain is under high pressure, ready to explode
For you, I don't want to be a huge load
What do yo possess that makes me adore you
I cannot understand your intentions in a clear view
Will you say life is a ride and just go with it

This is for my future self. To the moon child who's reminiscing about all the cancelled plans, torn ticket stubs, hiding from the storms, waiting nervously at the train station to finally try break free from my restricted freedom. The irony is that I work every single day to help build portals for people to travel, but never did I ever get a chance to take a decent vacation. A sweet soul who's overworked, overstressed, and overwhelmed all the time. I just want to feel alive, marvel at life around me by getting lost in the hustle n' bustle of the city to only find myself.
